Escape from Tartarus is the third story in the Zendal trilogy. I involves: investigating prime numbers and palindromes, creating and solving quadratic equations, circle calculations, time, distance, speed calculations, trigonometry and probability. Problems are at National Curriculum levels 7 and 8. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, in the Kingdom of Zendal, the wizards must rescue the daring Valkyra from the Round Tower of Abaddon. The origins of the mirror have never been clear but its value to our community both in symbolic and in real terms is beyond measure. Its magical powers are held in Tartarus but Valkyra has learned, during her imprisonment, that the mirror is secreted in The Hall of Mirrors on the lowest floor in The Round Tower of Abaddon.
